Mr. Bekvalac, a native of Yugoslavia, has been in the USA since 1982, working as Designer, Senior Designer and Project Architect with several architectural firms including:
- Joseph Roth, Architects 1981 – 1985,
- Davis, Brody & Associates 1985 – 1991,
- NYC School Construction Authority 1991 – Present,
- Small Private Practice 1985 – Present
In Yugoslavia, Mr. Bekvalac had been involved, as Author/Co-Author, in numerous large-scale projects and architectural competitions, including Radio & Television Center in Belgrade (1,100,000. S.F.) and my own house published in “My House” magazine.
In USA, Mr. Bekvalac had been involved as Design Team Member, Designer and Project Architect in large number of projects including:
- Fifty Story Sheldon Solow Residential Building – 72nd Street and FDR ($50,000,000),
- New York Public Library – Various Projects ($300,000),
- New Schools in Brooklyn – PS 24 Sunset Park ($22,000,000) and M.Goldstein High School part of Kingsborough College Campus ($44,000,000),
- Hayden on Hudson Condominium Complex – Various Projects ($180,000),
- New Retail/Residential Building in Huntington ($1,800,000),
- Various Residential Additions in Long Island ($240,000)
